Qymera Solution
Traditional geothermal plants need to find extremely hot spots deep underground, which are rare and expensive to reach. This means only about 2% of the world’s land is suitable for these plants.
Qymera’s technology changes the game by making it possible to use much lower temperatures and shallower depths, opening up over 98% of the world’s land for geothermal power.
How Does the Technology Work?
Qymera uses a special “closed loop” system. Think of it as a big underground pipe filled with a special fluid. This fluid travels down into the hot rocks, heats up, and then comes back up to the surface, carrying the heat with it.
At the surface, the hot fluid passes through a turbine that turns the heat into electricity, which can then be sent to homes and businesses.
The fluid is then cooled and sent back down the pipe to repeat the process, so nothing is wasted or released into the environment.
What’s Special About Qymera’s Technology?
Advanced Monobore System: A single well with proprietary super-conductive resin focuses heat, creating a “root structure” for efficient energy extraction.
Superior Materials: Our GIC-loaded resin boasts world-leading thermal conductivity (236.8 W/mK), outperforming traditional and metal-loaded resins. Is super strong and doesn’t rust, which means lower maintenance and longer-lasting equipment. Transfers heat much more efficiently than regular materials, so more of the earth’s heat is captured and turned into electricity.
